Adapt

Almost a year and a half since I made the move back to sunnyland.

I had a viable plan, and it seemed, everything fell seamlessly into place. I’d started picturing my life in two years, as if time was the only thing standing in between me and my near future.

In retrospect, less wishful and more realistic thinking would’ve helped, because NOTHING, has turned out the way I’d planned it. They all took a different, and unexpected turn, for the unknown.

I got caught in a Cul-de-sac, with a map in hand.

And then I learn, it is never walking down one straight road, in the chase of a dream.

When You Stop Searching, You Find It.

Half of September is over; I haven’t done an exceptional job keeping track of time.

After three weeks of waiting, my exam result is finally out. I passed, obviously, but with an okay-ish mark. Considering that I guessed my way through most of the aural questions, not too bad. Most likely the first and last ABRSM experience for me.

And ever since exam ended, I have been struggling with productivity, thanks to the increasing number of distractions in life. But now it’s about time I sat down and carefully thought about the next steps. There’s only so little time after all.

This year might just be the most unexpected so far. Setbacks, heartaches, major decisions, realizations, and surprises, all in the short span of barely nine months. There’s no other way than to embrace, knowing that at the end, it’s always for the best.

Moving Along

Started the morning with 30 minutes on the mat; has it been a while?

A little sad to say, but my yoga practice has become less regular, and less focused over the past year or two. The cold winters in Shanghai are to blame, but some extra effort could’ve kept me on the wagon.

Time to jump back on it. The journey to a better self has barely only started.

My monthly goal for August, on top last-minute exam prepping, was to restart ab workout, which has been accomplished and maintained at a once-a-week frequency. I think I will see great result about two years from now.

Also took a break from studying to sightsee, catch The Phantom of The Opera, and take unglam tourist pictures.

On an equally cheerful note, I finally uploaded a video, after two years of hiatus on YouTube. Five months of hard work in this little Mozart piece. More to come, if I stay focused in my musician mind.
